Carter at 6 months
I photographed Carter at his home this Saturday. This was his 6 month Easter shoot and we took lots of pics in the flower beds, with bunnies (not real) and other spring time stuff (and in color) but the ones I really liked had little or no props and were totally natural and of course B&W. As beautiful as color is I still always gravitate to the B&W images. Here are a few....

Baby Taylor Christian is born
Here are some images from tonights session of newborn Taylor. He is just 2 weeks old and was born exactly a week after our pregnancy session with his parents Courtney & Tim (I posted a few shots eariler on the weblog). He was so alert and fun and peed all over his dad.

Virginia Press Association Award
This weekend was the annual VPA Awards (www.vpa.net) and I was honored with a 2nd place award for a photo essay that appreared in The Hook on Trager Brothers Coffee Roasters (www.tbcroasters.com). The Hook took home 16 awards in all.

Congratulations Claire & David
Claire and David were married in an intimate ceremony at Keswick Hall on February 29. Claire's son Wyatt was the ring bearer. Randy and Joey from Floral Images did a fantastic job with the flowers. They made it seem like spring already . The 50 guests sat at one long table which filled the space beautifully.

Save the date!- Sheila & Dan
Sheila just stopped by the studio to show me her SAVE THE DATE that she designed using some of the images I shot of them a few months back. LOVELY!
It has a card stock cover with letterpress and the images are printed as brown duotones.
Sheila is one of the minds behind The Event Company (www.theeventco.net) and she and Dan will be married at her family farm this September. I have been honored with the super task of being her wedding photographer (talk about pressure!) and from what I have heard about the event so far it is sure to be one of the most fantastic and unique weddings to take place in these hills. I will be sure to post images right after the wedding.

Happy Birthday Sophie!
Here is a small sample of Sophie's first year. We had 3 sessions, one at 3 months, another at 6 months and then this past Sunday we celebrated her first birthday with a few fun things. I loved every minute of it.

Expecting!
This past Sunday I photographed Coutney and Tim on the grounds of UVA. I had the pleasure of capturing their wedding in January 2006 (they were married at the Uva chapel) and they are now expecting a baby boy any day. Very exciting!
