7 month old Chris and his sister Erin came from Richmond to have their portraits made in the studio. I photographed Erin at the same age 3 years ago so we tried to create some similar images of baby Chris.
This was the most beautiful day of the year to date. 80 degrees and sunny in March! Meredith & Todd got engaged in January and wasted no time planning their March 7 wedding at the fantastic Clifton Inn. I had the great pleasure of being asked to take getting ready pix and the formal portraits but I was also a guest at the wedding. Meredith is a fellow photographer (who spent a few seasons working as my assistant years ago). She has a great wedding photography business herself so it was really a lot of fun to have her on the other side of the lens. Photographers Will May, Jon Golden and Deanna Mandarino also shot photos during the celebration so I did get a chance to stop shooting and enjoy it all from another perspective. The wonderful Claire Goodman performed the ceremony and the flowers were arranges by one of Meredith's aunts.
This is one of my favorite weddings. Kristin & Dan were married at the Wilderness Adventure Camp in the Jefferson National Forest. This is not a recent wedding but it was recently featured on the super amazing website Style Me Pretty and several people have asked to see more so here you go. What I loved so much about this wedding was how fun and fresh and rustic it all was. There were so many unique and personal touches all throughout. The bride and her sister made almost everything you see as well. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
We had a beautiful winter day for Jill and Bob's wedding. They were married at Westminster Presbyterian Church and celebrated at Veritas Winery. The awesome Amy Webb of Blue Ridge Floral Design created the floral arrangements and that amazing cake was by Mountain Girl Bakery (not totally positive on the name but I will get that for sure). This was the first time I saw one of her cakes and I absolutely loved it.
